Hi everyone.......the lastest issue of

Today, I will share the 4 layouts here on my blog
all the step by step and materials list
is in the magazine.

My commissioned project, was using and making
paper pleating on your layouts.

"Moment in TIme"

(Couture Creations - "Lucky tree" die cut used for leaves)

"Love" My wedding day - the paper pleating going around the frame
(Couture Creations - "Lucky tree" die cut used for leaves
Kaisercraft papers, Meg's garden flowers)

"Pelican" many strips of paper pleating on the page.
Great bird photograph taken on our trip to Sydney Zoo.

"My Girl" a different type of pleating going down the page.
My daughter - on a very happy day....
(Kaisercraft papers and Meg's Garden ribbon roses and flowers)

I would like to thank Couture Creations, Meg's Garden & Kaisercraft

these layouts.

Now, all the materials and the steps by steps
on how to make your very own simple and effective paper pleating

Gentleman's Pandora Box - Meg's Garden

Hi there everyone,
Thanks for stopping by today, I have
a project I created using the wonderful papers from
"Meg's Garden of Papercraft delight" paper,
The Gentlemen's Collectiondesigned by Kerry-Jean Watson.

These papers are great for all your Vintage Projects.
So, as many of you who follow my blog and my
projects, will know that I love vintage and altering things.

I have a collection of old boxes, which are screaming to be
altered to some way, and are too good to throw out.

So, I have created, a "Gentleman's Pandora Box"
a place for a gentleman to collect little things and tokens along his travels.

There is a little draw at the bottom of this box, so I also
created a very small notebook, which one
can hold photos, a collection of notes and memories.

So, sit back and relax, let me take you all back in time to around 1915,
a time of simple things, where ladies wore long dresses with petticoats and
men wore suits with tails and top hats.

I decorated the outside as well as the inside of the box
Here is the side view of the box.
All the metal elements are available from Meg's garden

I lightly painted a little gesso on the metal elements to
make them look older.

Now I chose not to decorate the outside too much,
because these papers are so wonderful as they.
They have textured finishes, which is great.
I just inked around the edges to hide any white bits.

the front view of the box deocrated with
metal elements from Meg's Garden embellishments.

For inside of the box,
I decorated the lid and compartments.
Here I decorated it with washi tape,
Metal and chipboard cogs.
All available from Megs Garden Website

Now I want to show you what the box looked like before
I altered it. It was very blue and has a lid that lifts off,
I think it was a jewel box.
It has little compartments inside and a little secret draw on the bottom.

Inside the lid. I altered all the metal cogs with
distress paints and ink.
Making them look very old and rusty.

The little draw pulls out to reveal a mini notebook inside
which I also created with The Gentlemen's Collection

Some little treasures a Gentleman collects on his travels. Mini Glass bottles
a little compass, some coins and metal keys...

The mini Notebook with some of
the inside pages.
